Install the Android app
- Visit the download section on your Android device and save the APK.
- Open the downloaded file. If Android prompts, allow installation from the browser or file manager you used.
- Tap Install, then Open. You can turn off that installation permission afterward.
The replacement app has a different package name from the earlier release, so it may install alongside it. Keep important planning information from the previous app before removing it. The APK declares a minimum Android SDK of 14; this metadata is not a guarantee of compatibility on every device. Device policies may block direct APK installation.
If installation fails
Download the file again, check available storage, and review your device’s installation restrictions. Do not disable device protection to force installation. The release checksum identifies the expected APK. If installation still fails, send the exact error message and Android version to support.
Use and manage your saved data
Home provides Safety guides, Decision guide, Emergency kit, Contacts, Preparedness, Evacuation and About & safety information. Guides are bundled for offline reading; maps, calls and reference pages depend on other apps or connectivity.
Kit selections, assessment results, three saved contacts and local directory entries remain on your device. There is no sign-in or cross-device sync. For reset, removal and Android clear-storage instructions, see data retention and deletion.
Contact numbers accept 3–15 digits with an optional leading plus; ordinary spaces, hyphens and parentheses are accepted by the checked and fixed source. A dialer action opens a phone app; you decide whether to call.
Purpose and limitations
PakoReady provides educational preparedness information. It does not assess live hazards, provide live alerts, dispatch responders, automatically place calls or transmit your location. A preparedness score is a self-report, not a safety guarantee or official certification. Current official instructions and emergency responders take priority.
The initial evacuation records are sample templates. User-added facilities remain user-entered and are not independently verified. A map result does not prove that a route is safe or a facility is operating. Confirm local information with the appropriate authorities.
This support inbox is for app and privacy questions. It is not an emergency-response service.
